Although there is no treasure buried there, but it does have a strong connection to our Founding Fathers . George Washington worshiped at Trinity Church. Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the Treasurer, Founder of the Bank of New York, and author of large portions of the constitution, is buried in the Trinity Churchyard. The church does have a connection to the Free Masons, including a 1797 tombstone that bears the Mason symbol.
