This is the Stage. The Plaque at the entrance reads:
"One of the great architectural gems of the New York Skyline, The Paramount Theater is as much an icon historically for architecture, as it is for its rich musical heritage. Built in 1926, by renowned architects, Rapp & Rapp, The Paramount Theater was modeled in the French renaissance style, inspired by the Paris Opera House. In its heyda, The Paramount lobby featured an opulent staircase, with rich marble columns, majestic red velvet drapes, a grand organ and an orchestra pit. The walls featured niches, which housed detailed Greek statues, with the focal point in the room being an enormous crystal chandelier. Hard Rock Café is paying tribute to this extravagant building’s architectural history with a “revival” of its great features from the glamorous movie and music venue days.
